Snackdown ’17 – Annual Halloween Candy Drive For Operation Stars and Stripes

Collecting Candy:

November 1 – November 12

Atlanta & Decatur stores!

Its time again for our annual SNACKDOWN competition to benefit Operation Stars and Stripes.  O.S.S is a non profit organization that dontates care packages to deployed service men and women. These men and woman will be away from their homes and families during the holiday season. Please bring us your left over Halloween candy to either our Midtown or Decatur location.  We will sort it, and get it to O.S.S for you. For the last six years, we have been competing to see which neighborhood can donate the most candy. So far the MIDTOWN is the undisputed six time heavyweight champion!

 Last year between both stores,

we collected over 2,000 pounds of candy!!!

Our involvement with Operation Stars and Stripes started 10 years ago when Harris and Geri’s daughter, Molli, needed a service project. She wanted to focus on an organization that worked with our deployed troops.  After searching to find the perfect volunteer opportunity, their young daughter and family decided on O.S.S and have supported the organization ever since.

Even though we’re basically saving you from yourself by relieving you of all your leftover Halloween candy (so you don’t eat it), we have to sweeten the deal a little more. Everyone who drops off candy in either location can register to win a $50 Worthmore gift card. We will draw one winner from each store at the close of business on Sunday November 12th.  You can drop off candy starting Wednesday November 1st through Sunday the 12th.

If you would like to help O.S.S but candy isn’t your thing, you can visit them online at where they regularly post a list of items they currently need.

AND since the holidays are just around the corner you could maximize your candy drop off time by putting some items on your wish list just in case you’ve been good this year…
